Alex first experienced Osteopathy when she received treatment as a teenager whilst suffering from low back pain. Treatment helped her enormously and enabled her to continue with her Ballet training and to represent Somerset at Athletics.

Some years later, Alex trained at the British College of Osteopathic Medicine and qualified with a first class honours degree. She has since worked in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire before moving back to her home county of Somerset in 2008.

Alex enjoys all aspects of working as an Osteopath, most notably how an integrated approach can be so beneficial not only to a patients symptoms, but their whole well being. "I feel very fortunate to work in a field of medicine that enables me to spend time with my patients and to establish the cause of their complaint rather than treat their symptoms"

Like all Osteopaths, Alex works on all areas of the body, but has a special interest in ergonomics (most notably desk and driving positions) and gait (the pattern of the body during walking/running) and how problems in these areas can cause dysfunctions in the body.

Alex became the owner of Rose Osteopaths in April 2014, and has since renamed the clinic New Street Osteopaths.
